About Ballyglass Country House
The Byrne Family purchased Ballyglass House in April 1996, having
previously spent thirteen very successful years in the Fir Grove Hotel in Mitchelstown, County Cork.
We immediately set about an extensive refurbishment and
modernisation programme, keeping the best of the old and combining it with the
modern facilities required by today's discerning hotel guests.
The hotel re-opened under its present management in December 1996.
Since then the gardens have been returned to their former glory and are the
ideal place for a stroll in the evenings or for taking some special photographs
to remind you of your time with us.
Ballyglass has the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that are the
tradition of the Irish Country House. We aim to make our guests feel at home
whether they are residents, enjoying a meal or a drink or are holding a
function, such as a wedding or dinner dance. No matter what the reason for your
visit you can be sure of a genuine welcome and the friendly personal service
that only a small family run hotel can provide. Ballyglass
Country House is approved by the Irish Tourist Board, is a member of the Irish Hotels
Federation (IHF) and is an accredited member of the IHF's Quality Employer
Programme.
